In my initial days, I was focusing on the typical behavioural patterns, various gestures and body language during different activities. The source of the peculiar images and compositions of prints and drawings comes from my surroundings, which includes my family members, neighbors along with friends and my roommate. In this process, the most common thing was that they belonged to middle-class households. So, gradually I started to notice the reason and struggle behind their behaviours. When I left Odisha and went to Baroda for a Master's degree, I realized that many people from rural areas migrated to the cities to have better employment opportunities. But they still struggle every day even to have a hygienic living space and food, which is basic. So, recently I have been very conscious of the metaphorical representation of the struggles, living conditions and survival instincts of middle-class family areas.
